Mr. Tony Ojobo
Tony Ojobo retired as a Director of public affairs with the Nigeria communications commission.
He has well over 30 years’ experience in telecommunication, covering an area such as marketing, consumer services, institutional strengthening, utility regulations, project management, Public-private partnership, license administration, corporate communication, and brand management.
He started his career with the then Nigerian External telecommunication (NET) Limited as a commercial officer in August 1982. Later at the formation of NITEL limited in 1985, He was transferred to the NITEL head Quarters in Falomo Lagos as a senior commercial officer. He was later moved to shomolu exchange of the organization as the Business office manager in 1989.
He was subsequently transferred to Festac exchange as manager in charge of Business office from 1989 – 1991. He left the service of NITEL in 1995. He became the managing Director fruitful field concepts Ltd. Until the year 2000 after leaving NITEL.
In March 2000 he joins the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) as deputy director projects in the office of the executive vice chairman/CEO. He was responsible for the coordination of the World Bank consultancy in the commission for the institutional strengthening and Development.
He was responsible for the coordination of the telco services Demand study carried out by growing Business Foundation on behalf of NCC.
Chairman and Founder of TechX innovation Hub, an ICT Hub focused on innovation and capacity building on ICT adoption and Applications.
